BEAVERCREEK — Thousands will descend on Dayton Xenia Road in Beavercreek this weekend for the Beavercreek Popcorn Festival. This year’s theme will be “Saluting our WWII Veterans.”
The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Exhibitors, a 5K run, a car show and most importantly, varieties of popcorn, will all be available for event attendees to enjoy. The festival will be located on Dayton0 Xenia Road between North Fairfield Road and Meadow Bridge Drive.
The festival began more than 30 years ago at the Bellfair Country Store, as a way for owner Gary Deis to say “thank you” to his store’s patrons. Over the years the festival grew to the point where it was handed off to a private committee, which still operates it today.
Typically between 40,000 and 60,000 people attend the festival each year.
For more information on the festival, contact organizers at 937-602-CORN or by email at [email protected], or visit beavercreekpopcornfestival.org.
