Mihalick joins the Raise the Roof Board

SIDNEY — David Mihalick has been elected to the Board of Directors of Raise the Roof for the Arts organization formed to renovate and operate the Historic Sidney Theatre.

Mihalick is a standard compliance manager for Thor Industries, the parent company of Airstream in Jackson Center. He has lived in Sidney for 14 years with his wife, Amanda, and two daughters, McKenzie, a junior at the University of Dayton, and Paige, a seventh-grader at Sidney City Schools. He has been actively involved in the community by serving briefly on the YMCA Board, and 10 years on the Shelby County Youth Soccer Board, two of those years as president.

Mihalick’s interest in joining the RTR Board comes as a result of his youngest daughter’s love for dance and her involvement with Sidney Dance Company.

“The Shelby County community has an outstanding resource in the Historic Sidney Theatre that needs to be kept alive to provide our future generations a place to express their artistic talents,” Mihalick said.

“There has been a lot of work put into the initial project in updating the theatre and I look forward to continuing that work and bringing my skills, experience and resources that I can to the RTR board to provide the community with a sustainable performing arts facility.”
