Public invited to attend health needs assessment meeting

SIDNEY — The public is invited to attend a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), to be hosted by Wilson Health, Kettering Health Network, and Premier Health at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at the Senior Center of Shelby County. The three hospitals and health systems have joined together to perform the community assessment for the region. The CHNA process is being facilitated by the Greater Dayton Area Hospital Association (GDAHA) and The Health Collaborative.

Every three years, nonprofit hospitals conduct a CHNA. Part of the process is to solicit community input and host community meetings. The public is invited to attend the meetings and share opinions about top health needs in the community, discuss what can be done to improve the health of the community and identify any barriers to receiving health care.

There are several opportunities to participate in the assessment. Free public meetings are taking place in 11 counties.

If unable to attend a meeting, Kettering Health Network, Premier Health and Wilson Health will have a survey posted on their websites and encourage the public to take the time to complete the brief 10-minute online assessment.

All of the results from the CHNA will be used together to identify the top health or health-related issues for the region.

Space is limited. RSVP to reserve your space to [email protected] or call (937) 424-2368.
