SIDNEY — The Sidney Zoning Board of Appeals Monday afternoon approved a pet-grooming business at a residence.
The board granted a request by Kathleen LaFramboise for a conditional-use permit for a home occupation at 117 W. Clay St. The approval was granted with a number of conditions as recommended by Community Services Director Barbara Dulworth on her staff report.
Among the conditions are:
• No one other than LaFramboise may be employed in the home occupation at the residence;
• Client appointments must be scheduled at a minimum of 15 minutes between appointments to ensure off-street parking availability;
• The home occupation must be conducted solely between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, with no business at the residence on Sunday;
• No outdoor storage or display will be allowed. One sign, no more than 12-by-12 inches, mounted flat against the wall of the residence, will be allowed with approval of a permanent sign permit;
• No more than three dogs will be permitted on the property at any time.
Several other conditions that are a part of the city’s home-occupation regulations also are included.
