WAPAKONETA — The Auglaize County Crisis Center has set the date for the 2016 Benefit Auction.
The 28th annual auction will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016, at 5 p.m. at the Jr. Fair Building in the Auglaize County Fairgrounds. The center asks for the community’s help to ensure that adults and children whose lives have been impacted by domestic violence have safe, confidential shelter, support and comprehensive educational programs.
The Crisis Center is vital to the community. Last year, the Crisis Center handled 1,912 crisis calls, sheltered 52 residents (adults and children) and served 954 non-residential adults and children.
The center is asking for contributions of new merchandise, collectible items and monetary gifts to support this annual event. They thank the community for their support and generosity in the past and thank them in advance for their future support.
Some of the highlighted items already received include two center-stage floor seats to see Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood at Value City Arena, tickets to see the Rascal Flatts at the Allen County Fair, helmet autographed by 21 former OSU Football greats, passes to Disney World, Hog Roast for 200, four-course dinner paired with wines or beer for the MET, Reds, OSU, and Dragons tickets, autographed sports memorabilia, Auglaize County First Responders Secret Recipe Chili, getaway weekends, collectibles, gift certificates and more.
