Live Healthy, Get Active February achievements

SIDNEY — The incentive program that Wilson Health and the Senior Center of Sidney-Shelby county are partnering on started off great in January and has continued with great results for February.

61 participants logged a total of 654.75 hours and 45 participants logged 672 miles for February.

There were a total of seven certificates earned for hours logged and two certificates earned for mileage. For the 2023 year, so far the highest accumulative hours logged is 172.50 and miles is 171.50. There are several close to certificates and many that may reach the water bottle incentive level this month already.

The incentive items earned are: certificates of achievement at multiple levels, water bottles after 250 miles or 200 hours, T-shirts after 500 miles or 400 hours. Once they hit 800 miles or 500 hours their name is entered into a drawing for a free renewal membership for 2024. Wilson Health is providing the water bottles and T-shirts and the Senior Center is providing the certificates.

It is not too late to join this program as it is an accumulative incentive program running all through the year. The only requirement is to be 50 years of age or better and a member of the Senior Center. For more information check out their Facebook page or stop down to the Senior Center. The Senior Center of Sidney-Shelby County is open Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. – noon.
