Ruth, left, and Glenn Hicks, both residents of Landings of Sidney, were declared the “longest married couple” during Senior Day at the Shelby County Fair on Tuesday, July 25. The Hicks have been married for 75 years and have won the award previously. When asked for advice on marriage and staying married, Glenn said, “Marry the most beautiful girl and be nice to that beautiful girl,” as he took his wife’s hand.
