SIDNEY — The Civil Service Commission certified scores and ranking for firefighters, lieutenants, and assistant fire chief positions at a meeting on Oct. 18.
The commission put 13 firefighter candidates on an eligibility list, and the city has made an offer to one candidate to be hired. Five internal fire department members applied for the lieutenant promotional testing list and three internal members applied for the assistant fire chief promotional testing list. There are no vacancies for these positions but candidates would be pulled from this list if there are vacancies in the future.
City Manager Andrew Bowsher also discussed charter amendments that will be on the November ballot with the commission members.
