Crashes

James N. Drinkard, 63, of Sidney, was cited with starting and backing vehicles after a two-vehicle crash on Oct. 26 at 10:24 a.m.

Drinkard was backing out of a parking spot on West Poplar Street when he struck Jonathan A. Richmond, 74, of Sidney, who was traveling westbound on West Poplar Street.

• Tracy L. Brock, 62, of Piqua, was cited with disobedience to traffic control devices after a three-vehicle crash on Oct. 25 at 5:55 p.m.

Brock was traveling eastbound on Campbell Road and failed to stop at the red light at the intersection of Fourth Avenue, causing her to be struck by Bridget A. Steed, 64, of Sidney, who was traveling southbound on Fourth Avenue. Steed then struck Thomas J. Goffena, 40, of Sidney, who was northbound on Fourth Avenue attempting to turn left onto Campbell Road. Brock’s vehicle was towed by Mantor’s Towing and Steed’s vehicle was towed by Elmer’s Towing.

• Rosalyn Cunningham, 20, of Sidney, was cited with assured clear distance after a two-vehicle crash on Oct. 25 at 3:48 p.m.

Cunningham was traveling westbound on Fair Road when she rear-ended Michael Siegel, 53, of Fort Loramie, who was stopped for a school bus.

• Brian Thomas Batten, 51, of Noblesville, Indiana, was cited with operation without reasonable control after he struck a mailbox while driving a semi-truck traveling eastbound on East Parkwood Street on Oct. 25 at 12:23 p.m.

• Ronald A. Mealy, 56, of Piqua, was cited with disobedience to traffic control devices after a two-vehicle crash on Oct. 24 at 1:35 p.m.

Mealy was traveling westbound on East Court Street and entered the intersection of South Miami Avenue on a red light, causing him to be struck by Tina L. Hodge, 51, of Sidney, who was traveling southbound on South Miami Avenue.
