Crashes

Nicole L. Epley, 49, of Sidney, was cited with assured clear distance after a two-vehicle crash on Nov. 2 at 4:28 p.m.

Epley was traveling westbound on West Michigan Street behind Douglas W. Jones, 52, of Sidney, when he slowed due to traffic and she rear-ended him.

• Bettie E. Taylor, 80, of Troy, was cited with turning at intersections after a two-vehicle crash on Nov. 2 at 12:35 p.m.

Taylor was traveling southbound on Ohio Avenue in the right lane and Justin K. Owens, 37, of Covington, was traveling in the same direction in the left lane. Taylor attempted to make a left turn onto Lane Street from the right lane in front of Owens, causing a collision. Owens’s vehicle was towed by Wrecker’s Towing.

• Justin R. Ritter, 22, of Sidney, was cited with assured clear distance after a two-vehicle crash on Nov. 1 at 4:54 p.m.

Justin D. Teeters, 32, of Norwalk, was driving a semi-truck stopped at a red light traveling westbound on West Court Street at the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Ritter was behind him. Ritter started moving forward before Teeters began moving causing Ritter to rear-end Teeters. The vehicle Ritter was driving was towed by Wrecker’s Towing.

• Katelynn R. Craig, 20, of Sidney, was cited with right-of-way of a pedestrian within a crosswalk after a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Oct. 31 at 12:33 p.m.

Craig was stopped at a red light on Sixth Avenue attempting to turn right onto Michigan Street. Ethan T. Dysinger, 19, of Sidney, was traveling eastbound on a bicycle in the crosswalk crossing Sixth Avenue. Craig struck Dysinger inside the crosswalk.
