Grand jury issues indictments to various individuals

SIDNEY — The Shelby County grand jury issued indictments for gross sexual imposition, grand theft of a motor vehicle, and improper handling of a firearm, among other charges, on Thursday, Nov 9.

Michael D. Clark, 71, at large, was indicted on one count of gross sexual imposition, a third degree felony, for having sexual contact with an eight-year-old child.

Joshua E. Jenkins, 36, currently in the Shelby County Jail, was indicted on one count of grand theft of a motor vehicle, a fourth degree felony, for stealing a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado.

Jocelyn J. A. King, 27, of Detroit, Michigan, was indicted on one count of improper handling of firearm in a motor vehicle, a fourth degree felony, for having a fully loaded Glock 43x pistol in the glovebox of her vehicle, accessible to the operator or any passenger. The grand jurors further specify the Glock 43x pistol with light laser combo is subject to forfeiture if it was used in any manner to commit or facilitate the commission of a felony offense.

Richard E. Rogers, Jr., 26, of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, was indicted on one count of having weapons while under disability, a third degree felony, and one count of improper handling of firearm in a motor vehicle, for possession of a Glock 43x pistol after a previous conviction of possession of a controlled substance and delivery/manufacture of controlled substance and weapons felony in Michigan, a third degree felony, and for having a fully loaded Glock 43x pistol in the glovebox of a vehicle, accessible to the operator or any passenger. The grand jurors further specify the Glock 43x pistol with light laser combo is subject to forfeiture if it was used in any manner to commit or facilitate the commission of a felony offense.

Julie A. Jenkins, 43, currently in the Shelby County Jail, was indicted on two counts failure to appear, a fourth degree felony, for failure to appear to a final pretrial conference in the Shelby County Common Pleas Court.

Tabitha L. Keller, 23, currently in the Shelby County Jail, was indicted on one count of tampering with evidence, a third degree felony, four counts trafficking in drugs, a fifth degree felony, four counts aggravated trafficking in drugs, a third degree felony, one count possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony, and one count having weapons while under disability, a third degree felony, for concealing the cell phone of her deceased boyfriend to impair its availability as evidence, Xylazine (a schedule III controlled substance), Fentanyl (a Schedule II controlled substance), methamphetamine, cocaine, a digital scale, baggies and syringes for the purpose of storing, transporting and abusing drugs, and possession of a HiPoint handgun while under indictment for two counts of aggravated possession of drugs. The grand jurors further specify if the HiPoint handgun was used to commit or facilitate the commission of a felony it is subject to forfeiture.

Candace L. Smith, 21, currently in the Shelby County Jail, was indicted on one count of tampering with evidence, a third degree felony, for trying to flush a syringe with drug residue down the toilet to impair its availability as evidence.

Nicholas S. Nuttle, 34, of Anna, was indicted on one count aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony, and one count of possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony, for methamphetamine, bags and pipes for the purpose of storing, transporting, and abusing methamphetamine.

Harold J. Couch, 46, of Corbin, Kentucky, was indicted on one count possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony, and one count possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony, for marijuana and bags used for storing, transporting and abusing marijuana.

Shaneice R. Jones, 24, of Springfield, Ohio, was indicted on one count possession of drugs, a second degree felony, and one count possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony, for between 20 and 40 kilograms of marijuana and bags used for storing, transporting and abusing marijuana.

Jerry W. Cool, 42, currently in the Shelby County Jail, was indicted on one count aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony, one count of having weapons while under disability, a third degree felony, one count of possessing a defaced firearm, a first degree misdemeanor, and one count of illegal conveyance of prohibited item onto grounds of detention facility, a third degree felony, for methamphetamine, possessing a HiPoint 9 mm Luger handgun after previous convictions of aggravated assault, burglary and trafficking in drugs, possessing a firearm with the serial number removed/scratched off, and knowingly conveying Fentanyl into the Shelby County Jail. The grand jurors further specify if the HiPoint Luger handgun was used to commit or facilitate the commission of a felony it is subject to forfeiture.

Arthur E. Adkins, 25, currently in the Shelby County Jail, was indicted on three counts of trafficking in drugs, a fifth degree felony, one count aggravated trafficking in drugs, a fourth degree felony, two counts aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony, two counts possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony, and one count tampering with evidence, a third degree felony, for cocaine, Fentanyl, methamphetamine, baggies and a syringe for the purpose of storing, transporting and abusing drugs, and trying to flush a syringe with drug residue down the toilet to impair its availability as evidence.

Lisa D. Melick, 41, currently in the Shelby County Jail, was indicted on one count aggravated possession of drugs, a third degree felony, one count possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony, and one count of possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony, for methamphetamine, Fentanyl, and plastic baggies for the purpose of storing, transporting, and abusing drugs.

Sean L. Balensiefer, 44, currently in the Shelby County Jail, was indicted on one count aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony, one count possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony, and one count possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony, for methamphetamine, Fentanyl, and a digital scale for storing, transporting and abusing drugs.
