SIDNEY — The beginning of August was the start of a new chapter for Riverside Carryout.
Sanchez McCutchins left the corporate world to take the helm from Phil and Nancy Walter after their retirement.
“I kind of job shadowed them for a while… I’ve been a frequent customer of theirs for a while,” McCutchins said. “So, I used to tell them when he was ready to retire, I’d purchase.”
The focus of Riverside Carryout is to continue to provide for the community as a family-owned business. They are looking into adding more products, including from local producers.
“It’s been a staple in the community. There’s a lot of people that have come through for a long time, and we have the coldest beer in town. People drive from all over town to stop here.”
Riverside Carryout will be holding a grand opening from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday with raffles, drawings, food, and a chance to see the new space.
