Jenna Stettler cuts the ribbon for new softball dugouts on Sunday at the Shelby County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Stettler raised thousands of dollars for the dugouts by selling snacks during Special Olympics basketball games and by finding donors. Stettler realized there was a need for real dugouts to protect players from the sun while she was assisting her brother, Dillyn Stettler, in the Special Olympics softball program. Stettler was awarded the Girl Scout Silver Award for completing 50 service hours on a sustainable project that improves the local community.
