SIDNEY — The Sidney Yellow Jackets continue their hot streak with a 157-232 victory Wednesday over Fairborn at Shelby Oaks Golf Club.

“The key is to keep scoring in the 150’s as a team,” Yellow Jackets head coach Thomas Goffena said. “We will beat a lot of teams.”

Carter Wooddell had the lowest overall score in the matchup despite a bogey on hole one, shooting one under on nine. Brooks Taylor and Andrew Thorne both came in with scores of 40 followed by Jake Scully rounding out the scoring with a 43.

Sidney has not lost a golf match since Aug. 15 where it lost to Troy by just three strokes.

“Consistent play has been our success,” Goffena said. “Having a lot of scores in the low 40’s to take from every match is key. Our weak point would be around the green. Scoring is always around the green and if we can clean up there we will be very good.”

Sidney is back in action on Thursday at Echo Hills Golf Club where they will take on Piqua in match play at 4:00 pm.
