COVINGTON — Fort Loramie managed to knock off Covington 35-15 on Friday for its first win of the season.

Fort Loramie (1-2, 0-0) took down a Covington team that came into Friday undefeated.

After a scoreless first, Fort Loramie fell behind 7-0 early in the second quarter, but tied the game up with under two-minutes to play in the half 7-7 when Maxwell Maurer caught a 32-yard Gabe Hart pass for a touchdown.

Fort Loramie managed to score again in the first half to take a 14-7 lead into halftime.

Fort Loramie scored two more unanswered touchdowns in the third quarter to take a 28-7 lead into quarter four.

Hart threw another touchdown pass in the fourth before Fort Loramie gave up a touchdown and two point conversion for the final score of 35-15.

Fort Loramie is home in its contest next Friday against Crestview at 7 p.m.

The Cavaliers are scheduled to host the Raiders in a nonconference game on Saturday at Sidney Memorial Stadium.
