The Shelby County Highway Department announced on Tuesday it will begin a bridge replacement project on Southland Road beginning Wednesday.

County Engineer Bob Geuy announced Southland Road will be closed to all traffic between East Shelby Road and state Route 29 beginning Wednesday. The bridge replacement project will take approximately six weeks to complete.
