Fort Loramie announces Homecoming court

Homecoming celebrations at Fort Loramie High School are taking place throughout the week. The theme this year is “Game Night.”

The crowning ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Friday before the football game against Lima Central Catholic. The dance will be on Saturday at the junior high gymnasium from 8 to 11 p.m.

The high school student council organizes the homecoming activities, which includes a variety of class competitions. This year’s Thursday Night Smackdown will begin at 8:30 p.m., or after the volleyball game against Botkins. Other homecoming festivities include the grades battling for bragging rights by dressing up for a spirit week and decorating the hallways.

Candidates for Homecoming queen are Ariel Heitkamp, daughter of Doug and Kristin Heitkamp; Alexis Jacobs, daughter of Dan and Jennifer Jacobs, and Victoria Mescher, daughter of Todd and Renee Mescher.

Candidates for Homecoming king are Ty Kemper, son of Dean and Polly Kemper, Max Maurer, son of Ed Maurer and Amanda Meyer, and Joseph Puthoff, son of Mike and Peggy Puthoff.

Freshmen attendants for the Homecoming court are Chandler Tennery, daughter of Mark and Jenni Tennery, and Alex Massey, son of Alex and Rachel Massey. Sophomore attendants are Renee Jacobs and Ryan Jacobs, daughter and son of Dan and Jennifer Jacobs. Junior attendants are Ava Shafer, daughter of Tony and Angie Shafer, and Jace Ruhenkamp, son of Mark and Jody Ruhenkamp.

The 2024 crown bearers are first graders, Collins Drees, daughter of Curtis and Kara Drees, and Everett Meyer, son of Derek and Ashley Meyer.

The 2023 Homecoming royalty included Queen Summer Hoying, daughter of Matt and Carrie Hoying, and King Maverick Grudich, son of Chris and Jen Grudich.
