SIDNEY — The Lehman Catholic Cavaliers lost their fourth game in a row 3-2 to the Milton-Union Bulldogs on Wednesday in a Three Rivers Conference matchup at Lehman Catholic high school.

“We’ve still got guys moving around in our positions because of injuries,” Lehman head coach Eric Courtad said.

The Cavaliers (5-7-0, 1-4-0) fell behind 0-1 with 16 minutes to play in the first half but were able to score on a Colt Courtad penalty kick with just 90 seconds left in the first.

Lehman gave up two goals within the first 10 minutes of the second half and fell behind 3-1 in the process before a second Courtad goal on a penalty kick brought the Cavaliers within one with 21:40 left in the matchup.

Lehman was unable to get anything going on offense outside of the penalty kicks, and went scoreless for the rest of the match.

“We had a few chances but it’s not enough without those PK’s,” Courtad said. “We have three in the conference left. Miami East, who is our only win ever in the conference and we hope to replicate that.

“Then we get to Troy Christian and Bethel the last two games, those two teams are just fantastic. We have a couple of games before then that we’re looking to take care of first.”

The Cavaliers are led in goals, assists and points this season by sophomore Courtad with seven, nine and 19 respectively.

Lehman next travels to a match-up against West Liberty Salem on Monday at 5:30 p.m. at West Liberty Salem before returning to TRC play against Miami East on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at Miami East at 6 p.m.
