Lehman Catholic High School will celebrate Homecoming with a week of school and community events from Sept. 23-28. Daily themes for students, faculty, and staff will set the tone for a week filled with fun and tradition.

Lehman Catholic alumni, family, and friends are invited to Sidney Memorial Stadium to watch the Cavaliers in action as they play Bethel on Sept. 27. Gates open at 6 p.m. Free gate entry to Lehman partner school students in school apparel and free burgers for the first 200 kids to enter the stadium. The homecoming pregame ceremonies begin at 6:30 p.m. with the introduction of the Grand Marshall and Homecoming court followed by the crowning of the queen and king.

This year’s Grand Marshall, selected by the senior class, is Mr. TJ Fink of Sidney. Mr. Fink, a member of Lehman Catholic’s faculty for three years, teaches U.S. History, Psychology, and American Government. He graduated from Urbana University in 2019 and is pursuing a masters in American History at Gettysburg College.

Along with teaching, Mr. Fink is the National Honor Society advisor and volunteers with Kairos, football, and boys basketball and is recognized as the voice of the Cavaliers during home football games. He is a lifelong member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Bellefontaine, where he teaches fifth and sixth grade Sunday school.

“I would like to thank the Lehman community for all the opportunities they have blessed me with,” Fink said. “The faith of my students has inspired me to devote my life to Catholic education.”

This year’s senior queen candidates are Bailey Cooper, daughter of Kyle Cooper, and the late Alan Cooper of Sidney; Isabel Flores Berlanga, daughter of Ernesto Flores and Rocío Berlanga of Troy; Callie Giguere, daughter Jamie and Angie Giguere of Piqua; Anya Kolb, daughter of Kurt Kolb and Christina “Pixie” Bretney of Sidney; and Sophia Magoteaux, daughter of Ken and Amy Magoteaux of Sidney.
