Gallery 2:ten to host writers on Nov. 2

When once again authors of various genres, artists and wine aficionados gather at Gallery 2:ten on Nov. 2, a new writer will be there for young adult literature fans.

The event will be from 11-2 p.m. at the eclectic store and gallery located at 648 Fair Road in Sidney, and will be an opportunity to do some unique Christmas shopping.

The lineup of authors is as follows:

Young adult author Stephen Hines was spawned and currently lives in Ohio. When he’s not infiltrating the system by teaching high school English he’s writing. So far he’s published one young adult novel (Hocus Focus), a one-shot surrealist horror comic (Icon-O-Plastic), a graphic novel called Zombie Fabulous, another trilogy entitled The Soccer Mom Killer, a book of short stories called An Exile’s Epistle and Other Stories, and a new comic: Snails With Lasers.

Tim Smith is an award-winning best-selling author of mystery/thrillers and contemporary romance. He Is also a freelance writer, blogger, editor and photographer. He has been a published author for over 20 years with 30 books to his credit. His novels featuring former CIA agent Nick Seven have garnered several awards and international critical praise. In addition to writing stories about spies and private eyes, Smith is a former newspaper editor and case manager for adults with developmental disabilities. He can often be found in the Florida Keys, in between parasailing and seeking out the perfect Mojito.

Getting to Grace author Velma Lee Barber is a Sidney native. Some of her short stories have appeared in regional publications, the principle of human connection being the focus of her writing and her life in general. She stated that she has very many fond memories of growing up in Sidney, including spending time at the Teen Center, Friday night football games and Tawawa Park. She has enjoyable memories of spending time in Sidney and of the people of the town.

Robert Menz of Sidney has experience in Employee Assistance and Pastoral Psychotherapy. Menz is the author of several books and was selected for the Marquis Whose Who Lifetime Achievement Award. His latest book is titled “In the Clouds.” The author is a retired Certified Employee Assistance Professional.

Author Terry Pellman of Sidney is the author of several novels and a collection of short stories. Recently, he has released two novellas: The Lake Effect and Monda’s Prism. He is a past third-place Winner of the Dayton Daily News Short Story Contest. Three of the author’s novels are political dramas. He has been interviewed on various media platforms around the country.
