Historic Sidney Theatre hosting ‘Little Women’ musical

The Historic Sidney Theatre is going to present Little Women: The Musical, a heartwarming and timeless production based on Louisa May Alcott’s beloved novel. Like the novel, the musical follows March sisters as they navigate the challenges of growing up, family, love, and following their dreams.

There will be four shows between Nov. 1 and 3 at the theatre. Showtimes are 7 p.m. on Nov. 1, 2 and 7 p.m. on Nov. 2 and 2 p.m. on Nov. 3. Tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for students and seniors. Tickets are available now and can be purchased at www.sidneytheatre.org.

A talkback with the cast will be held immediately following the 7 p.m. performance on Nov. 2.

The theatre said in a news release the musical brings to life the story of Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy, four sisters growing up during the American Civil War. With its rich storytelling, beautiful music and powerful themes of love and perseverance, Little Women: The Musical is a production that will resonate with audiences of all ages.

The Historic Sidney Theatre is excited to be partnering with Shelby County Libraries on “The March Tour,” a book club to explore deeper into the minds and stories of each of the March Sisters.
