-2:34 p.m.: scam. Deputies received a scam report in the 17000 block of state Route 274 in Botkins.

-7:21 a.m.: stolen vehicle. Deputies responded to a stolen vehicle in the 1000 block of state Route 66 in Houston.

WEDNESDAY

-6:59 p.m.: property damage. Personnel responded to property damage in the area of East Hoewisher Road.

-6:20 p.m.: theft. Deputies responded to a theft in the 1000 block of Riverside Drive.

-6:11 p.m.: suspicious person. Deputies responded to a suspicious person in the area of Lindsey Road and Fair Road.

-4:30 p.m.: suspicious vehicle. Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle in the 2000 block of Riverside Drive.

TUESDAY

-6:55 p.m.: suspicious vehicle. Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle in the 2000 block of Cardo Road in Fort Loramie.

-3:41 p.m.: property damage. Personnel responded to property damage at mile marker 94 on Interstate 75.

-2:35 p.m.: theft. Personnel responded to a theft in the 2000 block of Michigan Street.

-10:17 a.m.: crash. Deputies responded to a hit-skip crash in the 2000 block of Kuther Road.

MONDAY

-10:19 to 11:09 p.m.: threats. Deputies responded to two reports of threats in the 6000 block of Wright Puthoff Road.

-5:09 p.m.: vehicle in ditch. Deputies responded to a vehicle in a ditch in the 8000 block of Barhorst Road.

-4:16 p.m.: scam. Deputies received a scam report in the 2000 block of state Route 66 in Houston.

-3:17 p.m.: vehicle in ditch. Deputies responded to a vehicle in a ditch in the 1000 block of River Road.

WEDNESDAY

-5:58 p.m.: assault. Botkins Police responded to an assault in the 200 block of West South Street.

Crashes

No one was cited after deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on Feb. 24 at 6:50 a.m.

Hayley Nicole Ely, 21, of Houston, was traveling eastbound on Houston Road and Carie Ann New, 48, of Sidney, was traveling westbound. Both parties stated a deer crossed the roadway in front of Ely, causing her to cross the center line and strike New.

New’s vehicle was towed by Meyer’s Towing and she was taken by Spirit EMS to Wilson Health with suspected minor injuries. Ely was evaluated by Spirit EMS personnel for possible injuries but was not taken to a medical facility.

• No one was cited after a two-vehicle crash on Feb. 23 at 7:21 p.m.

Maria D. Fiessinger, 38, of Minster, was traveling southbound on Luthman Road pulling a horse trailer. She stopped in the roadway and began to back into a driveway. She said she had the hazard lights on and when she saw Herbert A. Koontz, 63, of Minster, approaching, she started to flash her bright lights. Koontz was traveling northbound and said he saw the flashing lights but didn’t see the trailer, causing him to strike the trailer.

• Kayla G. Meyer, 29, of Piqua, was cited with operation without reasonable control after a one-vehicle crash on Feb. 22 at 6:10 a.m.

Meyer was traveling northbound on Interstate 75 when she lost control on the wet pavement and struck a guardrail on the right side of the roadway.

• William George Copeland, 26, of Sidney, was cited with operation without reasonable control after a one-vehicle crash on Feb. 22 at 2:12 a.m.

Copeland was traveling northbound on Thompson Schiff Road when he drove off the right side of the road and struck a mailbox then overcorrected and drove off the left side of the road, striking another mailbox and a tree. Copeland’s vehicle was towed by Mantor’s Towing.
