Crashes

Gretchen Smith, 41, of Sidney, was cited with assured clear distance and leaving the scene of a crash after a two-vehicle crash on Sept. 7 at 6:53 p.m.

Smith was traveling eastbound on East Court Street when she rear-ended Christina Armstrong, 52, of Sidney, who was on East Court Street stopped at the red light at the intersection of South Ohio Avenue. Smith then left the scene.

• Jesus Yaimir, 23, of Sidney, was cited with operation without reasonable control after a two-vehicle crash on Sept. 7 at 4:36 p.m.

Yaimir was traveling on Garfield Avenue when he swerved to the right and struck a parked vehicle owned by Thaman Francis, of Sidney.

• Jonathon Morris, 52, of Sidney, was cited with assured clear distance after a two-vehicle crash on Sept. 7 at 5:28 a.m.

Morris was traveling eastbound on Russell Road when he rear-ended Lesley Roseberry, 28, of Sidney, who was slowing to turn right into a driveway.

• Rickey Allen Delafuente, 19, of St. Marys, was cited with assured clear distance after a two-vehicle crash on Sept. 6 at 12:24 p.m.

Delafuente was traveling westbound on Court Street when he rear-ended Tyler James Martin, 30, of Sidney, who was stopped in traffic.

• Timothy Richard Martin, 65, of Sidney, was cited with failure to control/weaving after a one-vehicle crash on Sept. 4 at 7:18 p.m.

Martin was traveling westbound on Lunar Street when he ran the stop sign at the intersection of North Main Avenue and struck a mailbox across from the stop sign due to the sun being in his eyes. The vehicle was towed by Mantor’s Towing.
