SIDNEY — The Shelby County Board of Elections approved the allocation of voting equipment for the upcoming election for the second time and a compensation time payout policy/procedure for paid Board of Elections members at a meeting on Oct. 17.
In other business, the board welcomed new members Bill Wiley and Jim Liggett; discussed the 2024 budget and election night duties for board members; planned nursing home visits to help residents who want to vote in the upcoming election; and approved the bills filed for audit totaling $15,416.58.
The next regular Board of Elections meeting will be on Nov. 21 at 10 a.m.
