WAPAKONETA — The Auglaize County 175th Anniversary Committee reminds area residents that one week remains to submit names of county residents who have reached the age of 100 by Dec. 31 of this year or before.
The committee will present a certificate of appreciation and a small gift to all centenarians. Recipients need not have lived in Auglaize County their entire lives.
The committee has contacted local residential facilities, but also seeks assistance in locating centenarians who still reside in their own homes or with relatives. The committee will not publish the centenarians’ specific place of residence, to respect their privacy. The committee has already identified four centenarians in the county, but wants to ensure that no one is missed.
