Lock One Community Arts is a non-profit organization formed in 2001 by three couples with the intent of bringing live professional stage performances to the West Central Ohio region. This group exists through the support of faithful sponsors, season pass holders, ticket sales, and generous contributions from businesses and friends.

All activity is governed by an all-volunteer board composed of a dedicated group of individuals who generously give their time and talents. This support of Lock One is vital to ensure that high quality artistry continues to be provided in our local area.

All performances of LOCA are presented on Sunday afternoons in the intimate theater setting of the James F. Dicke Auditorium located inside the New Bremen High School. The LOCA Board also works diligently each year to provide a variety of family friendly performing arts productions to this area.

Tickets are on sale now for these shows by calling 567-356-2048 or stopping at the Western Ohio True Value Hardware on Rt. 66 in New Bremen.

The first show of the season is scheduled for Oct. 13 at 3 p.m. The 7 Bridges Band has been named “The best Eagles tribute band on Earth” by Rolling Stone magazine. The show features one brilliant hit single after another with some mighty Joe Walsh surprises sprinkled into the mix.

On Nov. 3 at 3 p.m. we will present the Sons of Serendip — a billboard charting classical-crossover quartet, who won the hearts of fans and judges alike as finalists on America’s Got Talent: The Champions. Their ethereal and emotionally stirring interpretations of pop music are arranged with unique blend of vocals, harp, piano, and cello. Sons of Serendip have four successful albums and have lifted audiences both nationally and internationally.

The Abba Holly Jolly Christmas on Dec. 8 at 3 p.m. Join the cast of ABBAFAB (America’s No. 1 tribute to ABBA). They will be performing lots of timeless Christmas favorites and then dash away to the 1970’s and early 1980’s with a few of ABBA’s greatest hits including Dancing Queen and Mamma Mia.

After a winter break it will be time for some laughter from comedian Kellen Erskine, who will be performing on March 16 at 3 p.m. Kellen has appeared on Conan, Comedy Central, Jimmy Kimmel Live, NBC’S America’s Go Talent. Kellen was selected to perform at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, Quebec, and The Great American Comedy Festival.

On April 6 at 3 p.m., The Texas Tenors will be with us once again. LOCA is bringing them back by a very popular demand. They are returning with a new show, Stage & Screen, showcasing classic films and Broadway favorites. As Billboard’s No. 1 recording artists, three-time Emmy Award Winners, and Texas Country Music Hall of Fame Inductees, The Texas Tenors are one of the most successful and sought-after music groups since their debut on America’s Got Talent. This group continues to delight audiences worldwide.

LOCA is particularly proud of its educations branch called Pinwheels Productions. This year the Wrights of Passage, which is adapted from the journals of Orville and Wilbur Wright, is the life story of two brothers who want to prove man can fly.

As the Wright brothers construct the large abstract replica of their famous flyer on stage, they recount their personal stories, inspirations, differences, failures, and successes. This year the performance will be on Nov. 4 and 5 for the sixth through grade. This show is at no cost to the student, which is achieved through the generosity of local sponsors. Each year on a rotating schedule, groups K through 8 are invited to the James F. Dicke auditorium to experience a live, curriculum appropriate, educational show.

The mission of the Lock One Community Arts is to educate, inspire, entertain, and culturally enrich the people of West Central Ohio by providing quality and affordable access to a wide range of performing arts. The performances presented each year depend on the generous support of many Sponsors and volunteers from throughout the three counties.
