Several sentences handed down for drugs

SIDNEY — The Shelby County Common Pleas Court recently handed down several sentences for drugs and other charges.

Pamela K. Wood, 68, of Sidney, was sentenced to 30 months and 12 months in prison, consecutive, with eight days of jail credit granted, on one count aggravated trafficking in drugs, a third degree felony, and one count having weapons while under disability, a third degree felony. Wood was indicted on one count aggravated trafficking in drugs, a second degree felony, one count possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony, five counts having weapons while under disability, a third degree felony, and one count receiving stolen property, a fourth degree felony, for methamphetamine, a glass smoking pipe, possession of a Mossberg 715T rifle, a Jennings handgun, a Zigana handgun, a Ruger handgun and a 9mm Smith & Wesson gun after previous convictions in Logan County, and possession of a 9mm Smith & Wesson gun she knew or had reasonable cause to believe had been stolen. Six counts were dismissed. Additionally, $643 cash is determined to be contraband and forfeited to the Sidney Police Department. The Sidney Police Department is authorized to destroy or otherwise dispose of the following items: a Mossberg 715T rifle, a Jennings handgun, a Zigana handgun, a Ruger handgun, a 9mm Smith & Wesson gun, ammunition and gun accessories and two small safes.

Ariel D. Davis, 32, of Sidney, was sentenced to seven to ten and a half years in prison, with seven days of jail credit granted, on one count aggravated trafficking in drugs, a second degree felony. Davis was also sentenced to 30 months in prison, with 35 days of jail credit granted, to run concurrent with her other sentence, on one count illegal conveyance of prohibited item onto grounds of a detention facility, a third degree felony. Additionally, Davis will have mandatory post release control for 18 months to three years. Davis was indicted on two counts possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony, one count aggravated trafficking in drugs, a first degree felony, one count trafficking in drugs, a third degree felony, one count possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony, and one count aggravated trafficking in drugs, a second degree felony, for fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, a box and baggies. Davis was also indicted on one count illegal conveyance of prohibited item onto the grounds of detention facility, a third degree felony, and one count driving under OVI suspension, a first degree misdemeanor, for knowingly conveying a substance containing cocaine into the Shelby County Jail, and driving under an OVI suspension. Furthermore, her 2015 Chevrolet is declared forfeited. Six counts were dismissed.

Thomas J. Rader, 30, of Covington, was sentenced to 11 months in prison, with 19 days of jail credit granted, after violating the terms and conditions of his community control sanction. Rader was convicted on one count aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony, for methamphetamine.

Kylee N. Yates, 33, of Sidney, was sentenced to continue her community control sanctions after violating the terms and conditions of her community control sanction. Additionally, Yates must successfully complete treatment at a community based correctional facility. Yates was convicted on one count attempted illegal use of supplemental nutrition or WIC program benefits, a fourth degree felony, for fraudulently accepting and using food assistance benefits when she was not authorized or qualified, in an amount of $10,573.00.

Troy A. Yoast, 26, of Sidney, was sentenced to 11 months in prison, with 176 days of jail credit granted, after violating the terms and conditions of his community control sanction. Yoast was convicted on five counts trafficking in drugs, a fifth degree felony, for heroin, fentanyl and tramadol.

Antonio D. Russell, 20, of Cincinnati, was sentenced to five years community control, with no days of jail credit granted, on one count possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony. Additionally, Russell must successfully complete drug and alcohol counseling, must obtain and maintain employment, and must complete 15 days in the county jail. Russell was indicted on one count possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony and one count possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony, for marijuana in an amount between 200 grams and 1000 grams, and a baggie. One count was dismissed.

Donald E. Radcliff, 44, of Dayton, was sentenced to 11 months in prison, with three days of jail credit granted, on one count possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony. Radcliff was indicted on one count possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony, and one count possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony, for Alprazolam and a container. One count was dismissed.

Amellio D. Price, 35, of Toledo, was sentenced to five years community control, with no days of jail credit granted, on one count aggravated trafficking in drugs, a fourth degree felony, and one count aggravated possession of drugs, a third degree felony. Additionally, Price must successfully complete the Midwest Centers Program (MCP), upon completion of the MCP he must reside in a sober living house and must successfully complete any other drug, alcohol and mental health counseling determined by the Adult Probation Department. Price was indicted on one count aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony, two counts possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony, one count aggravated trafficking in drugs, a fourth degree felony, one count aggravated trafficking in drugs, a third degree felony, and one count aggravated possession of drugs, a third degree felony, for methamphetamine and a baggie. Four counts were dismissed.

Curtis L. Watson, 48, currently in the Shelby County Jail, was sentenced to two terms of 11 months in prison, concurrent, with 127 days of jail credit granted, on one count aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony, and one count possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony. Watson was indicted on one count aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony, one count possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony, and one count possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony, for methamphetamine, cocaine and baggies. One count was dismissed.

Danial Bancroft, 58, currently in the Shelby County Jail, was sentenced to 8 months in prison, with 100 days of jail credit granted, for one count attempted receiving stolen property, a fifth degree felony. Bancroft was indicted on one count receiving stolen property, a fourth degree felony, for possession of a 2005 Toyota Scion he knew or had reasonable cause to believe had been stolen.
