A blood drive will take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Oct. 15 at St. Michael’s Hall at 33 Elm St. in Fort Loramie.

Cancer and its treatment can damage blood cells causing many cancer patients to rely on regular blood and platelet transfusions to help them survive. One fourth of all blood donations in the U.S. goes to help cancer patients.
Everyone who registers to donate with Solvita Oct. 1 through Nov. 2 receives the “Fight Cancer” October Breast Cancer Awareness Month t-shirt. St. Michael’s Hall hosts Solvita blood drives every two months, all sponsored by the Fort Loramie Community Service Club, Fort Loramie American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, St. Michael’s Church, and the St. Michael’s Knights of St. John.
