SIDNEY – On March 22, companies gathered to tour the Wagner Building prior to bidding on Phase 1 for asbestos removal and demolition. There were 29 companies at the required pre-bid meeting. The deadline for bids is April 12, and the estimated cost for this phase of the project is $3,440,525.

Chief shares fire hydrant tips for Sidney citizens
SIDNEY — The staff of the Sidney Department of Fire and Emergency Services provides a wealth of services to our community. The department’s 38 uniformed personnel provide all-hazard mitigation. This means that they respond to and care for emergency medical, fire, technical rescue and hazardous materials incidents. Additionally, the Fire Prevention Division conducts fire and safety inspections of commercial and industrial properties, provide public education related to prevention and safety and conduct plan reviews of new commercial and industrial properties.
