Diabetic support group offered

The Diabetic Support Group will meet on Monday evening, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. in Conference Room 1 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital. The morning class will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 10 a.m.

The program for October will focus on how to use your meter to gather valuable information about your diabetes management. Different testing times and target ranges for glucose, along with various factors that may raise or lower glucose will be discussed. Identifying factors that affect your results is important to being able to make changes to improve your numbers. Krissy Mullenhour, RN, BSN, CDE, will be the speaker.

Health, Healing and Harmony Lunch Series

Joint Township District Memorial Hospital has teamed up with Otterbein St. Marys to offer a three-part educational lunch series. The third program of this series will be held on Friday, Oct. 14, at noon in the Meyer Room on the grounds of Otterbein St. Marys, 11230 St. Rt. 364. Parking is on the south side of the facility.

Lunch will be served at noon and the program titled “Understanding and Treating Neurological Disorders” with speaker Dr. Natasha Alexander. Dr. Alexander will be sharing her fresh perspective on neurologic treatment and care. Grand Lake Neurological Center serves individuals in a variety of facets, close to home.
