Pet clinic date set

SIDNEY — The Shelby County Animal Rescue Foundation (SCARF) and the Shelby County Animal Shelter will host a low-cost pet vaccine and microchip clinic, Oct. 22, from 9 a.m. to noon at the shelter, 1100 Clem Road.

Advance registration and payment are required by Oct. 8. Walk-ins will not be accepted.

Registration forms are available at www.helpshelbycountyanimals.com and at the shelter.

Distemper/parvo/corona/lepto combination shots for dogs will cost $11 each.

Feline 4-way shots for cats will cost $8 each; vaccinations against feline leukemia will cost $14 each.

Rabies shots for dogs or cats will cost $10 each. Microchips for dogs or cats will cost $25 each.

Dr. Tim Woodward, of Tri-County Veterinary Service, will administer the vaccinations. Shelter staff will do the microchipping.

During the clinic, dogs must be leashed and cats must be in carriers.
