SIDNEY — Raise the Roof for the Arts, the organization behind the ongoing renovation of the Historic Sidney Theatre, has made it possible for area residents to decorate for the holidays with a bit of theatrical nostalgia.
The theater’s marquee will soon be taken down for restoration. The light bulbs that comprise the giant sign will be replaced with more energy-efficient ones.
Raise the Roof has handcrafted Christmas ornaments from the old, unusually-shaped bulbs. To help raise funds for the restoration, the organization will sell the ornaments for $20 each.
The bulb decorations are available at the theater, 120B W. Poplar St.; the Ross Historical Center, 201 N. Main Ave.; and Gallery 2:10, 684 Fair Road.
Bulbs can be shipped for an additional fee. For information, call 498-1921.
