HOUSTON — A Houston man was killed Friday night in a two-vehicle crash.
According to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, Patrick D. Craft, 45, of Houston died at Wilson Health from injuries sustained in the crash.
On Oct. 11, 2019, at approximately 9:29 p.m., Shelby County Sheriff’s deputies and Houston Fire & Rescue were dispatched to the 2000 block of state Route 66 to a two-vehicle accident with injuries.
The initial investigation indicates that a northbound gold Chrysler four-door driven by Craft, crossed the centerline and into the path of a southbound a black Chevy Cruze, causing a head-on collision. Craft was transported to Wilson Health and later died. Sarah A. Pyers,of 24, of Troy, was the driver of the southbound vehicle. She was trapped and extricated by mechanical means and transported to Wilson Health. The crash remains under investigation.
This was the second fatal crash in Shelby County in less than 48 hours. On Thursday, Angela M. Fitzgerald, 52, died at Miami Valley Hospital, where she was taken by CareFlight after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of state Route 274 and County Road 25A.
