Kellen Mescher, of Minster. “My father was one of the first chairmen and founding fathers of the first Oktoberfest. I grew up with it so it was always a place I could hang out with family and friends especially now that I’m older and people have moved away it’s the weekend and I know I’ll see them again.”

Brad Garmann, of Minster. “Celebration of our heritage.”

Gina Frick, of Minster. “It’s tradition that’s unique to this area. It benefits everybody. It defines who we are to some extent. It’s about family getting together whether it be the Civic Association, Swim team, Boy Scouts, Athletic Boosters, Band Boosters, basically any association in town has some stake in the Oktoberfest it brings everybody together for this event.”
