Sidney Zoning Board of Appeals

SIDNEY —The Sidney Zoning Board of Appeals will meet on Monday, Oct. 17, at 4 p.m. in council chambers.

The board will consider the request of Paula Colemen for an expansion of an existing conditional non-conforming use permit to build a 10-foot by 16-foot accessory building at 123 S. Walnut Ave. in a single family residential district. They will also consider the request of S & S Speed Shop for a conditional use permit for a motor vehicle repair shop at 729 Wapakoneta Ave. in the community business district.

Sidney City Planning Commission

SIDNEY — The Sidney City Planning Commission will meet on Monday, Oct. 17, at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers.

The board will consider the request of Choice One Engineering, on behalf of Ron Asbury, for the replat of three lots to create one new lot at 401 Sixth Ave., in the community business district; the request of Choice One Engineering, on behalf of Grace Baptist Church, for the replat of seven parcels to create one new lot at 137 Edgewood Drive in the single family district and the request of Choice One Engineering, on behalf of Hi-Grade Oil, Co., for the replat of one parcel to create two new lots at the corner of Campbell Road and Vandemark Road in the general industry district.

Sidney Board of Education

SIDNEY — The Sidney City Schools Board of Education will meet Monday, Oct. 17, at 6 p.m. The director of curriculum will go over the school district report card. The board will hear reports from the treasurer and superintendent. As a part of those reports the board will accept a donation, and a retirement.

The board will consider the employment of several employees. They will also hear a legislative report from Robert Smith. The board will also go to executive session to consider the employment (evaluation) of an employee/official of the school district.

Fort Loramie Board of Education

FORT LORAMIE — The Fort Loramie Local Schools Board of Education will meet in regular session, Monday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m. in the Media Center.

The board will consider the five-year forecast, revised board policies, supplemental contracts, a resignation and employment of substitute teachers and accept donations.

Hardin-Houston Board of Education

HOUSTON — The Hardin-Houston Board of Education will meet on Monday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m. in the Media Center. The board will approve monthly financial reports and expenditures for September 2016, approve Five Year Forecast, and address personnel issues.

Governor’s Community Traffic Safety Network

PIQUA — The Governor’s Community Traffic Safety Network of Shelby County will meet Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 8:30 a.m. at the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Piqua Post, 401 U.S. Route 36, Piqua.

Stats from the OHP, Shelby County, Sidney Police Department and Sidney Fire Department will be presented. Street/highway projects will be reviewed by the Ohio Department of Transportation, Shelby County and city of Sidney. The program for the meeting is ASSIST, an Ohio State Highway Patrol initiative.

Sidney-Shelby County Board of Health

SIDNEY — The Sidney-Shelby County Board of Health will meet in regular session, Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 7 p.m., in the Health Department Conference Room, 202 W. Poplar St.

The board will consider two private water system variance requests, a condemnation order, an order to remain vacant and public health nurse employment matters.

Fairlawn Board of Education

SIDNEY — The Fairlawn Local School District Board of Education will meet Thursday, Oct. 20, at 6:30 p.m. in Room 122.

Items on the agenda include changing the date of the 2017 graduation ceremony; hearing reports from the district’s administrators and board members; and personnel issues which could include employment, service contracts, accepting a resignation and adopting a board policy.
