MILWAUKEE — The Bon-Ton Stores Inc., which operates Bon-Ton, Boston Store, Bergner’s, Carson’s, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s and Younkers stores, has officially begun its October tradition of raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research.

During the month of October, all Bon-Ton Stores will feature a Pink Shop with merchandise and gift items, proceeds from the sale of which will be donated to breast cancer research hospitals. A selection of pink ribbon items will be available for purchase in all stores or online. Merchandise items include active wear, T-shirts, zip-up quilted and fleece jackets, athletic shoes, socks, watches, plush bathrobes, cosmetics beauty items, tumblers and reusable tote bags.

A portion of the proceeds from each item will be donated to breast cancer research hospitals and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. In addition, through the company’s year-round Charge Against Breast Cancer program, every time a customer uses a store credit card, Bon-Ton makes a donation to fund breast cancer research. The Bon-Ton Stores Inc. has donated more than $5 million to support breast cancer research since 1998.
