DAYTON — WDTN-TV has started its 35th annual Food for Friends campaign, which will run through Dec. 24.
“’Working for You’ isn’t just a slogan but our mission as a television station to give back whenever possible,” said Joe Abouzeid, WDTN-TV president and general manager. “WDTN is committed to fighting hunger and helping Miami Valley families in need.”
Since 1982, more than 13 million food items have been collected and distributed to needy families through the Foodbank of Dayton and other food pantries throughout the Miami Valley.
Food for Friends barrels are in Kroger stores throughout Montgomery, Logan, Preble, Clark, Clinton, Miami, Shelby, Darke and Greene counties.
