SIDNEY — Jeff Raible, director of the Sidney Visitors Bureau, recently released promotional statistics for Septmeber and October.
The bureau’s website saw 1,634 unique users, 1,937 web sessions, and 5,961 page views in September. The Facebook page had 26,091 views, most in connection with the living history weekend that brought Civil War re-enactments to Sidney.
In October, 941 unique users had 1,064 web sessions and made 3,437 page views. They visited Facebook 5,475 times.
The bureau placed ads in Discover Ohio Travel Planner, Midwest Living magazine, Country Living magazine, Family Fun magazine and the Madden Media regional newspaper insert in September. As a result, 112 readers requested information about Sidney and Shelby County.
Ads were repeated in all by the Family Fun magazine in October. There were 59 reader requests for information that month.
In addition, information and welcome messages were sent to the athletic directors of six teams participating in the high school football playoff games in Sidney Memorial Stadium, Nov. 12.
The bureau served as a tour stop sponsor of the Shelby County Farm Tour, Sept. 18. More than 500 people attended.
