Freshway recognizes workers

SIDNEY — Service and achivement awards were distributed to Freshway Foods associates at the company’s recent Associate Appreciation Luncheon.

The company hosts the Appreciation Luncheon monthly to thank its associates for their hard work and dedication.

Freshway associates were recognized for achieving five and 10 years of service with the company. In addition, Guillermo Bernardino and Mike Heatherly were recognized for 15 years of service, and Silva Sowders was recognized for 25 years of service.

“We are fortunate to have so many dedicated associates at Freshway,” says Tony Arnold, director of human resources for Freshway Foods. “People like Guillermo, Mike and Silva are a big part of the reason we have been so successful. The contribution of our associates is valued, and our Associate Appreciation Luncheons are one way that we say, ‘Thank you.’”

The company recognized several other associates who qualified for the company’s quarterly incentive program drawing by maintaining perfect attendance and a positive safety record. Forty-five associates were recognized for perfect attendance during the quarter, and the Repack department was recognized for outstanding housekeeping during October.
