FRIDAY

-12:04 a.m.: probation violation. Merle Bailey Jr., 54, 1616 Campbell Road, was arrested for a probation violation warrant.

THURSDAY

-7:11 p.m.: theft. Paul Long, 54, 1360 Darthmouth St., reported being scammed out of $1,172 while attempting to obtain a loan.

-4:05 p.m.: probation violation. Tabatha Murphy, 45, of Piqua, was arrested on two warrants for a probation violation and contempt.

-3:22 p.m.: breaking and entering. Milligan Construction on Milligan Court reported the theft of various tools valued at $4, 300 and a Stihl cut-off saw valued at $1,300.

-12:16 p.m.: theft. Marcella Hensley, 81, 622 Ardiss St., reported the theft of two containers of prescription medication from her residence.

-11:17 a.m.: warrant. James Basham, 39, at large, was arrested on several warrants between Clark County and Pennsylvania and then was transported to the Shelby County Jail.

WEDNESDAY

-11:59 p.m.: theft. Bridget Lawson, 31, 3302 Red Feather Road, reported the theft of her ATM card that she accidental left in an ATM after using it. Someone removed the card and attempted to use it at several other businesses.

Accidents

Kenneth Caudill, 30, 140 W. Parkwood St., was cited with improper lane change after a two-vehicle collision on Thursday at 4:26 p.m.

Caudill was traveling southbound on Fourth Avenue in the right lane of travel when he moved into the left turn lane with the intention of turning onto Michigan Street but could not make the turn due to the closure of Michigan Street, so as Caudill attempted to go back into the right lane he hit another vehicle traveling southbound in the right lane.

The driver of the other vehicle was Traci Smedley, 43, 16890 State Route 47.

• Frances Gehret, 83, of Fort Loramie, was cited with stop and yield after a crash on Thursday at 2:01 p.m.

Gehret was traveling southbound on Third Avenue at Park Street when she hit another vehicle traveling eastbound on Park Street at Third Avenue, which caused that vehicle to hit a street sign on the northeast corner of the intersection.

The driver of the other vehicle was Dixie Harley, 80, 16800 McCloskey School Road.

• Michael Balyeat, 64, of Chelsea, Oklahoma, was cited with starting and backing after a collision on Thursday at 12:56 p.m.

Balyeat was backing up in the 800 block of Oak Avenue when he hit a parked vehicle on the street.

The owner of the parked vehicle is Michael Harris, 503 Second Ave.

FRIDAY

-1:57 to 10:25 a.m.: medical. Medics responded to five calls.

THURSDAY

-8:49 pm.: fire. Crews responded to an open burn investigation.

-6:40 p.m.: stand by. Medics were dispatched to stand by.

-2:51 to 8:09 pm.: medical. Medics responded to six calls.
