FRIDAY

-12:30 a.m.: receiving stolen property. Brantley Longacre, 20, at large, and two 17-year-old males were arrested after Brew Nation on East Poplar Street reported the business had been broken into and a cash register containing cash and 25 bottles of liquor were stolen. Longacre was arrested for receiving stolen property and offenses involving underage persons. The cash register, $1,600 and 20 bottles of the liquor were recovered.

THURSDAY

-7:48 p.m.: theft. Abby Baker, 20, 221 King Court, and Christopher Bowers, 24, 725 N. Miami Ave., Apt. B, were arrested for theft after Walmart on Michigan Street reported the theft of $225.96 in merchandise.

-6:36 p.m.: warrant. Danny Bryant, 37, 213 E. North St., Apt. D, was arrested on a warrant.

-3:07 p.m.: theft. Judith Depinet, 43, 514 Second Ave., reported the theft of a silver, diamond necklace, two pair of earrings and a gold class ring valued in total at $500.

Accidents

Patrick Freisthler, 59, of Anna, was cited for assured clear distance ahead after a three-vehicle collision on Thursday at 5:06 p.m.

Freisthler was traveling westbound on state Route 47 and did not stop in time before hitting the vehicle in front of him driven by Jessica Doak, 23, of Fort Loramie, which then hit the vehicle in front of her driven by Debra Woodard, 50, 230 Windsor Parke Drive, who were stopped in traffic.

• Virgil Goff, 57, 2400 Wapakoneta Ave., Lot 18, was cited with improper lane change on Thursday at 12:55 p.m.

Goff was traveling southbound on Fourth Avenue at the intersection of Michigan Street and was intending to turn, moving into the left land, but then realized the road was closed so as he merged back into the straight lane on Fourth Avenue struck another vehicle he said he did not see.

The driver of the other vehicle was Carroll Cutler, 63, 522 S. Miami Ave.

• Jane Jones, 63, 1529 Westwood Drive, was cited for failure to control after a collision on Thursday at 10:52 a.m.

Jones was traveling eastbound on state Route 47 approaching Brooklyn Avenue when she lost control and struck a curb causing damage to the vehicle’s front tire.

Fire, rescue

FRIDAY

-7:48 to 9:13 a.m.: medical. Medics responded to two calls.

-12:49 a.m.: fire. Firefighters were dispatched to Port Jefferson for a fire investigation.

THURSDAY

-11:20 p.m.: fire. Firefighters were dispatched to Port Jefferson for the mutual aid of the Port Jefferson Fire Department for a structure fire.

-11:53 a.m. to 10:16 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to seven calls.
