Tactical officers execute narcotics search warrant

SIDNEY — Two Sidney men were arrested following the execution of a search warrant Tuesday morning.

According to the Sidney Police Department, Bruce Davis, 35, 1208 Amhurst, and Dock H. Foy Jr., 27, 1210 Amhurst, were arrested and transported to the Shelby County Jail. Davis has been charged with one count of trafficking in cocaine, a felony of the 5th degree. Foy has been charged with one count of trafficking in marijuana a felony of the 4th degree.

On Tuesday, Nov. 22, at approximately 9:20 a.m. investigators and officers from the Sidney and Piqua Police Departments served simultaneous narcotics search warrants at 1208 and 1210 Amhurst, Sidney Ohio. Tactical officers from both Sidney and Piqua Police Departments were utilized to make entry and secure the locations so searches could be executed by investigators. During the searches detectives recovered cocaine, marijuana and cash at both locations. A handgun was seized from a vehicle associated with 1210 Amhurst.

This warrant was a result of lengthy investigation by Sidney Narcotics Investigators. It is believed that individuals at both Amhurst locations were working together to sell and distribute narcotics. This warrant execution is a continuing effort by the Sidney Police Department to combat drug abuse and drug trafficking in Sidney.
