FORT LORAMIE — Fort Loramie High School students will travel “To Infinity and Beyond” during their homecoming festivities this week.
Students have been dressing up for Spirit Week this week and have been painting windows of local businesses. Thursday at 9:15 p.m., they’ll participate in the Thursday Night Smackdown at 9:15 p.m. in the school. Fall sports teams will be introduced and classes will compete against each other for bragging rights.
The homecoming game will be Friday against Ridgemont. Festivities will conclude with a dance in the junior high school gymnasium, Saturday, from 8 to 11 p.m.
Homecoming queen candidates are Maddi Fortman, daughter of Karen and Jim Fortman; Kaitlyn Luebke, daughter of Nancy and Dale Luebke; and Kayla Rosengarten, daughter of Renee and Charlie Rosengarten.
Homecoming king candidates are Logan Gigandet, son of Jill and Dennis Gigandet; Alec Holthaus, son of Gayle and Mike Holthaus; and Darren Turner, son of Lynn and Nick Turner.
Attendants to the court are juniors Grace Ruhenkamp, daughter of Jenny and Greg Ruhenkamp, and Seth Gephart, son of Kelly and Jeff Gephart; sophomores Rylee Poeppelman, daughter of Jill and Gary Poeppelman, and Nathan Raterman, son of Jo and Ron Raterman; and freshmen Jasi Piatt, daughter of Jenni Piatt and Jim Piatt, and Adam DeWeese, son of Sharon and Steve DeWeese.
Crown bearers will be Kiera Harrod, daughter of Ashley and Chet Harrod, and Will Rethman, son of Sarah and Matt Rethman.
