Help ‘End Hunger in Shelby County’

To the editor:

As we gear up for the 10th Annual Thanksgiving morning Turkey Trot 5K Race to End Hunger in Shelby County, I would like to express my appreciation to Culvers Restaurant for allowing us to hold our pre-registration/fundraiser night at the restaurant. The staff and management graciously allowed us to set up camp so that we could register people for the upcoming race, sell t-shirts for the event, and collect canned foods that will be donated to the Alpha Center Food Bank for the holidays.

I would also like to express my appreciation for the many people who came to Culvers to support our event. We are always so humbled by the amount of people who turn out for Culvers night, as well as for the actual Turkey Trot itself. God continues to bless this event, which in turn blesses the people who are helped because of it.

Can’t participate on Thanksgiving morning? Go to Culvers anytime this month and purchase a “Turkey Buck” or help fill the food collection box. You can also go to www.sidneyfirstpres.org and purchase a t-shirt or water bottle, and you are helping to restock the shelves. Thank you for your support in helping us to “End Hunger in Shelby County!”

Sincerely,

Sarah Steenrod
