Lehman posted a key victory in Northwest Central Conference play on Thursday, defeating visiting Riverside 3-1.

The scores were 25-16, 25-18, 20-25, 25-20.

Lehman goes to 3-0 in the NWCC and 6-7 overall. The loss dropped Riverside to 3-1 in the league and 11-4 on the season.

Lehman is back in action today at unbeaten Jackson Center. Riverside is off until Thursday at home against Waynesfield in conference play.

Sidney Chapman added to her career record number of kills with 27, and also had 21 digs and five aces.

Ellie Scott added seven kills and Abby Schutt and Malorie Hussey both added five.

Alexis Snipes had 22 digs, 11 assists and five kills, Lauren McFarland had 27 assists, and Madison Hussey finished with 20 digs.

For Riverside, Marissa Davis had 20 kills, 19 digs, four blocks and three aces to lead the Lady Pirates. Kristin Davidson had 18 digs, Helena Faulder 18 assists, and Shelby Giles eight kills.

Versailles 3, Minster 0

VERSAILLES — The Minster Lady Wildcats fell to Versailles in close Midwest Athletic Conference volleyball action Thursday night, 3-0.

The scores were 25-17, 31-29, 25-23.

The loss leaves the Lady Wildcats at 1-4 in the MAC and 7-6 overall heading into their invitational today. Versailles goes to 4-1 in the league and 10-4 overall.

For Minster, Rosie Westerbeck had 11 kills and Paige Thobe seven, and Hayley Baumer finished with 28 assists.

Paige Purdy led the defense with 17 digs, Jordyn Heitbrink had 14 and Baumer added nine.

Bremen 3, Knoxville 0

NEW BREMEN — The New Bremen Lady Cardinals hosted backyard rival New Knoxville in Midwest Athletic Conference action and came away with a 3-0 victory over the Lady Rangers.

The scores were 25-16, 25-16, 25-13.

New Bremen moves to 3-2 in the MAC and 11-3 overall heading into a match at Lima Shawnee Tuesday. New Knoxville is 2-3 and 8-5, and takes on No. 1-ranked Jackson Center Monday on the road.

For New Bremen, outside hitter Paige Jones finished with 32 kills and sophomore Rachel Kremer added 12. Jones also had seven ace serves and 15 digs.

Madison Pape finished with 40 assists.

For New Knoxville, Shayna Bierlein had 10 kills and seven digs, Ashlyn Miller nine kills and 12 digs, Kenzie Schroer 21 assists and eight digs, and Faith Homan 14 digs.

New Bremen also won the junior varsity game in two.

Junior high

Fairlawn and Riverside split in junior high volleyball Thursday.

Fairlawn won the 7th grade game 25-20, 25-6.

Janessa Sacks had three aces for Riverside.

Riverside won the 8th grade game 25-17, 25-21.

For Riverside, Lauryn Sanford had five aces and four kills, and Sierra Snow three aces and five assists. Macie Manahan added two aces.

The Riverside 8th grade is 9-5.
