Fairlawn golfer Mason Jones recently signed a letter-of-intent to continue his golf career at Bluffton University next year.

Jones was a first-team All-County performer this past season and a second-teamer as a junior.

Last season, he had a 39.8 average for nine holes and was on both Fairlawn teams that played in the district the past two seasons.

He becomes the first Fairlawn golfer to earn a scholarship since Ryan Coyne, who played at the University of Kentucky starting in 1997.
